My Vacation Experience from Selcuk (Izmir) to Alacati, Turkey by Bus

Hi ... I would like to share my experience when I traveled to Alacati-Turkey last year. Actually there are many interesting destinations in Turkey, but those that are commonly visited by people are still around Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ankara.

Because I accidentally found a picture on Pinterest, finally my husband and I decided to go to Alacati, a Mediterranean city on the West Coast of Turkey, which is famous for its distinctive city architecture. The town is small and traditional with stone houses, narrow streets, boutique hotels and restaurants with tables lined the roadside.

==>> Our starting point is from Selcuk. From Selcuk bus station take the Pamukkale bus to the city of Izmir for approximately 1 hour by TYL12 fee / person (pay by cash)

==>> After arriving at Izmir Otogar (bus terminal), we continued on a shuttle bus (still the bus owned by Pamukkale group) towards Swissotel Izmir (free). From the Swissotel on foot while looking at the Aegean sea which is enlivened by luxurious cruise ships, until arriving at Konak Square (walking approximately 20 minutes). Until Konak Square took a short break while taking photos and snacking on simit bread to fill the hungry stomach. ha ha ha

==>> From Konak Square station (Izmir City Center), take the metro and get off at Fahrettin Altay station. Ticket costs are TYL10 per 3 people (pay by cash). So if only one person goes up, they will still buy the ticket for that price.

==>> Arriving at Fahrettin Altay, exit then walk to the gas station (from the exit if I don't mistakenly remember walking straight about 500m), then next to the gas station there is a construction area. Well, there the destination bus to Cesme is gathering. The name of the bus is Cesme Seyahat. When you go up, just say to the conductor if you want to get off at Alacati, because this bus the final destination is in Cesme. Whereas Alacati was the first city to be passed before arriving at Cesme. The ticket price is TYL17 / person, pay cash with the conductor.

==>> The bus stopped right at the side of the cross-town road and just crossed to get to Alacati. From the opposite side of the road to the main gate of the city, it's not so far, only around 200m. In front there are many restaurants, cafes (there are also Starbucks) and shops, starting from selling souvenirs like funny fridge magnets, to those who sell shoes with famous brands.

==>> The hotel we booked via agoda is located in and at the back of the city. Kokopelli the name of the hotel. Which is owned by a Turkish couple. And at that time only we were both hotel guests. To reach the hotel, we prefer to walk because it is really fun to explore this city.

Turkey is known as a country that is friendly to wild animals (cats and dogs). Included in this Alacati. The host or restaurant owner is happy to give these cats a meal. So don't be surprised if the cats here are fat and clean!
