Halal Food Shop Restaurants Guide in Moscow

Hi friends. Because I have been  helped by internet too. So, I want to share a little for those who want to visit Russia and look for halal food.

Following are the restaurants that I visited while in Moscow:

- Livan House / Ливан Хаус

Lebanese restaurant in the Red Square area of Moscow. A very strategic location because tourists like to visit the Red Square area. The restaurant is inside the Okhotny Ryad Mall, right in front of the Four Season Okhotny Ryad Hotel. Precisely, on the 3rd floor or the lowest floor of the foodcourt area.

This restaurant in my opinion is highly recommended, because of its strategic location, it feels most suitable on the tongue, and the price is affordable, I came here twice.

 - In the Izmailovo Market area

Izmailovo market is a market where you buy souvenirs typical of Russia. It turns out that in this market there is halal food too. The foods are various kinds of burnt such as chicken, fish, etc. I forgot to take a photo of the place because it was cold.

- Cheburechnaya Khalyal / Чебуречная Халяль

Still in the Izmailovo area, but not in the market, precisely near the Partizanskaya Metro station. The location is very close to the station. The food is uzbek food.

- Kebab House

Located inside the Evropeyskiy Mall, which is a mall in the Kievskaya area. Kebab House is on the 4th floor of the food court area. The place can be said to be very crowded, so hopefully it remains crowded, continue to exist, so that it can facilitate Muslims who are looking for halal food :). In addition to the Evropeyskiy Mall, there are also branches on Arbat Street. Arbat street is also a tourist area and a shopping place for souvenirs, so it can become a destination for dining after shopping.

- Moscow Cathedral Mosque Area

Inside the mosque there is a halal cafe, uzbek food too. The place is really aesthetic!

In my opinion finding halal food in Russia can be difficult or can be easy, even though it has been planned in detail itinerary and where to eat since long ago, but apparently there are 3 restaurants that I am looking for (outside the list above) that have been permanently closed / replaced by other tenants.

My advice, I always bring Indonesian food, to protect our halal food. Usually I eat for breakfast or dinner. Not just instant noodles, but side dishes. Such as rendang dried, serundeng, dried shrimp, sambal, etc. This is a very important stock during the trip, because it's not only difficult to find halal, but often it doesn't taste right on the tongue. For rice, you can bring a mini rice cooker if you want because finding rice in Russia is quite difficult except for Japanese, Korean, Chinese or Indian restaurants.

Additional: always bring bread or snack supplies everywhere. In Russian supermarkets there are a lot of 7days bread (which is like in Arabic), it can be used as daily provisions.
